Role Overview

Grant Thornton's GTech Data & Analytics team is building enterprise-grade data platforms powering analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives. This role is a hands-on Data Analyst position focused on Snowflake-based data lakehouse environments, working across ERP, HCM, and CRM data sources. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring accurate data translation, modeling, and delivery.

MUST HAVE (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

• 7+ years of Data Analyst / Business Data Analyst experience in enterprise environments
• Strong consulting background (client-facing, requirements-driven delivery)
• Advanced Snowflake experience : complex SQL, performance tuning, JSON/VARIANT handling, schema/stage knowledge
• Proven experience with Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM/STM) and data transformation documentation
• Hands-on experience with Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
• Strong experience with data lineage, metadata traceability, and impact analysis
• Experience working with REST APIs (JSON/XML) and mapping API payloads to Snowflake
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data validation, profiling, and reconciliation
• Experience writing BRDs, FRDs, business rules, and functional/technical documentation
• Strong stakeholder communication and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, dbt)
• Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
• Knowledge of data warehousing & dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schema)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with API tools (Postman, Swagger)
• Agile/Scrum experience

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, validate, and document business/data requirements with stakeholders
• Translate requirements into detailed mapping documents and transformation logic
• Perform end-to-end data lineage analysis across Snowflake, APIs, and reporting layers
• Support data modeling aligned to modern lakehouse architecture
• Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks using Snowflake SQL
• Work with engineering teams on ETL/ELT validation and UAT support
• Interpret API documentation and define ingestion mappings
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across analytics platforms
• Mentor junior analysts and support delivery best practices

Summary

This is a high-visibility, delivery-focused role requiring a strong mix of Snowflake expertise, data analysis, and consulting experience. Only candidates who can clearly demonstrate hands-on ownership, accurate experience, and client-facing delivery will be considered.
