Job Description

CBO Transport, Inc  is seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team in South Bend, IN .

In this role, you will ensure the efficient and timely delivery and pick-up of FedEx Ground packages, while complying with all operation, security, and safety policies.

Responsibilities of the Delivery Driver:

• Obeys traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Turns in receipts and money received from deliveries.
• Meets or exceeds delivery standards as set by FXG and CBO Transport
• Reads maps and follows written or verbal geographic directions.
• Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Loads and unloads trucks, vans, or automobiles.
• Successfully meets all the time stops and pick up windows.
• Checks vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Follows appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
• Attends all company meetings as required.
• Inspects loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
• Maintains logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Secures cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required
• At least one (1) year of delivery driving experience preferred
• Medical DOT Card required
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Must be able to travel 95% of the time
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds

Schedule:

• 5 days’ work week (including possible weekends), 8:30am-5:30pm
• During peak delivery season (Thanksgiving-Christmas), additional hours may be required.
