Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technicians to support various areas of our plant. The role involves working in a heavy industrial environment, focusing on mechanical and electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Install and commission new equipment including rolling mills, conveyors, CNC machines, casting equipment, and furnaces.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems, AC/DC drives, 3-phase motors, and high voltage equipment.
• Work with switchgears, generators, and conduct electrical installations and repairs.
• Maintain attention to detail and precision due to the large and tightly-toleranced equipment.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and electrical maintenance.
• Experience with AC/DC drives and high voltage equipment.
• Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as an Industrial Electrician.
• Proficiency in Siemens PLC systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and wiring skills.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Work Environment

Work in a heavy industrial environment with no climate control, experiencing both hot and cold extremes. The facility is vast, spanning hundreds of acres, and employees are assigned to specific departments upon hiring. The site is tobacco-free and jewelry-free, with 12-hour shifts available on a 3-2-2 night schedule. There is a union presence in one department, but most maintenance roles are non-union.

This is a Permanent position based out of Muscle Shoals, AL.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.
