Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a career as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the Bay Area. We are seeking skilled operators for backhoe and mini excavator roles, focusing on sewer and water service repairs and replacements. This role requires flexibility to work day, swing, or night shifts from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends.

• Operate backhoe, mini-excavator, skid steers, and other excavation machinery to excavate and load loose materials on residential and commercial job sites.
• Load, unload, and secure equipment on transport trailers following guidelines.
• Adhere to OSHA and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with a crew to efficiently complete excavation work on various projects.
• Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and addressing their requirements.
• Maintain excavation equipment and gather necessary tools from the branch or rental companies.
• Perform excavation work in confined spaces and open trenches, adhering to safety protocols.
• Locate and arrive at job sites promptly, ensuring safe driving and operation of service vehicles.

• Construction experience in both residential and commercial projects.
• Possession of a current CDL Class A license (support provided to obtain this).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Capability to complete jobs within specified timelines.

• Experience in trenchless water, sewer, and gas work is a plus.
• Backflow certification (support provided to obtain this).
• OSHA 10 certification (support provided to obtain this).

Average earnings for equipment operators reach $130,000 per year, with opportunities for quarterly reviews and 11% commissions on all billings.

Conduct excavation work in both commercial and residential settings. Workdays are 8 hours long with overtime paid at 1.5 times the average production rate for the week. Employees can clock in as soon as they leave their home each morning, ensuring a smooth and efficient workday.

This is a Permanent position based out of East Palo Alto, CA.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
