Job Description

PingWind is seeking an experienced Vice President (VP) of Military and Aerospace Customer Engagement who will drive revenue growth by leading strategy, customer engagement, and capture activities for Military and Aerospace programs. The successful candidate will build pipelines, nurture high-level relationships with military and internal stakeholders, and manage proposal processes for new contracts/task orders. The candidate will work out of PingWind’s Huntsville, Alabama office which is located near Redstone Arsenal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth & Sales Leadership: Define and execute growth strategies, achieving revenue, and pipeline targets within the Military and Aerospace arena
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management: Establish and deepen relationships with senior federal leaders, program managers, and stakeholders to align company capabilities with mission needs
  • Capture & Proposal Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of opportunities from identification to closure, including leading capture teams and developing winning proposals, white papers, and competitive analyses
  • Market Analysis & Intelligence: Monitor defense budget trends, competitor activities, and emerging technological needs to identify new business opportunities

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 20+ years in federal defense business development, capture management, and/or contract management
  • Relationships: Deep understanding and existing relationships within the Military and Aerospace arena, service branches (Army, Air Force, etc.), and major defense contractors
  • Knowledge: Proficiency in civil and defense procurement regulations (FAR and DFAR), proposal development, and technical knowledge relevant to the company's services (e.g., aerospace, software, engineering)
  • Clearance: DOD security clearance will be required
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred
