Job Description

Position: High School / AP Physics Teacher
- Location: Shanghai, China
- Student Age: 14-18 (US G9-12)
- Teaching Hours: 20*45-minute classes per week
- Curricula: US Common Core and/or AP
- Class Size: 24 students
- Start Date: August 2026

Representative Subject Assignment (all subjects are 5*45-minute classes each):
1. 4*G9-12 Physics
OR
2. 4*G9-12 AP Physics I
OR
3. 1*AP Physics II + 1*AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism + 2*AP Physics C: Mechanics

Requirements:
- Native speaker of English or to have obtained a university degree in which the instructional language was English.
- Bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Physics or a relevant field.
- Two or more years of high school Physics teaching experience
- Teaching License/Qualification (e.g. US Teaching Certification, UK QTS, etc.)
- Certificate of non-criminal record
- Must provide two references (both phone number & institutional email address)
- Must be able to lead a student-centered, project-based curriculum of inquiry and reflection.
- (Preferred) Experience teaching in AP Physics subjects.
- (Preferred) Master’s degree in Education or in a field relevant to this discipline.

Renumeration and Benefits:
- Total renumeration for the first contracted year: 288,000-384,000 RMB per annum (equivalent to 24,000-32000 per month) before tax, inclusive of housing allowance.
