Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating rewinder and roller machines. This role includes setting up machines, performing change-outs, and replacing parts. The candidate should be able to troubleshoot and conduct small repairs on machines, as well as change out rolls and diagnose any mechanical issues.

Shift and Pay:

• 1st: 7am-4pm
• Pay: $18-21/hr (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

• Operate rewinder and roller machines.
• Set up machines and perform change-outs.
• Conduct small repairs and maintenance on machines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Replace machine parts as needed.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in machine operating.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience reading tape measures.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with machine building and assembly.
• Background in electrical work is a plus.
• Troubleshooting experience is beneficial.
• Experience with machine maintenance and repairs is a plus.

Work Environment

The role is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse with three shifts available: 1st shift from 5am to either 1pm or 3pm, 2nd shift from 1pm to 9pm, and 3rd shift from 9pm to 5am. Currently, the team operates on a 4/10 schedule from Monday to Thursday, 5am to 3pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
