Job Description

We are looking for an Oral Health Educator to promote oral hygiene awareness across skilled nursing facilities, schools, early learning centers, and local community organizations.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex health information and the community, helping educators, patients, and families improve their oral health outcomes.

Position Details

• Location: 2 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46204.
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (60% on-site / 40% remote).
• Travel: Approximately 30% in-state travel required.
• Schedule: 37.5 hours/week (variable days based on community needs).
• Interview Process: Initial interview via Microsoft Teams, with a mandatory in-person second interview.

What You'll Do

• Develop & Deliver Training: Lead workshops and educational sessions for school nurses, educators, and nursing staff.
• Create Resources: Design accessible materials like guides, checklists, videos, and digital content.
• Community Engagement: Support outreach events, health fairs, and public health campaigns.
• Advocate: Promote the vital link between oral health and overall well-being for vulnerable populations.
• Collaborate: Partner with facility leadership and community stakeholders to implement oral health best practices.

What You Bring

• Education: Bachelor's degree or certification in Dental Hygiene, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
• Experience: 1+ year in health education, training, or community outreach (school/healthcare settings preferred).
• Expertise: Strong knowledge of oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and behavior change techniques.
• Communication: Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to simplify complex health information for diverse audiences.
• Bonus Skills: Data management, program evaluation, or grant writing experience.
