Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Tap Room Manager to lead our bustling taproom operations. In this role, you will oversee daily service, manage staff, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and maintain smooth functioning of the bar and food service areas. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily taproom operations, including beverage service, food preparation, and customer interactions (on-site physical presence and management during peak business hours)
• Lead staff training and development to ensure excellent customer service, proper food handling, and safety standards
• Manage inventory control for beverages, food supplies, and bar stock to minimize waste and optimize profitability (including ordering)
• Oversee POS systems for accurate cash handling and sales processing
• Coordinate staff scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak hours and smooth transitions between shifts
• Prepare payroll and tip pool allocation
• Enforce food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and compliance with health regulations in all areas of the taproom
• Hire, interview, and train new team members to build a motivated and skilled staff team
• Monitor customer feedback to continuously improve service quality and overall guest satisfaction
• Collaborate with kitchen staff on food production, catering events, and special offerings such as banquets or private parties as well as front of house staff with overall execution of events
• Maintain a lively atmosphere that encourages team engagement while ensuring operational efficiency

Experience

• Proven management experience in a quick service or restaurant environment with supervisory responsibilities
• Extensive hospitality management background with a focus on food service management and team leadership
• Hands-on experience with POS systems; cash handling expertise essential
• Strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management within casual dining or fine dining settings
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff training & development, interviewing, and shift management processes
• Knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control practices, and beverage program execution in the food industry
• Experience in restaurant or bar settings preferred; familiarity with catering or banquet operations is a plus
• Excellent communication skills paired with leadership qualities that motivate teams toward shared goals
