Job Description:

Job Overview:
We are looking for a Kafka Administrator with strong Microsoft Azure experience to support and manage large-scale streaming platforms in a cloud environment. This role requires hands-on expertise in Kafka cluster management, Azure integrations, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in Mainframe technologies
• Strong experience working with Apache Kafka administration
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Kafka performance tuning and monitoring
• Knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts

Nice to Have

• Experience with MirrorMaker 2 or Cluster Linking
• Azure Event Hubs (Kafka-enabled)
• Experience handling large-scale production Kafka environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, configure, and scale Kafka clusters in production environments
• Integrate Kafka with Azure services such as Azure Event Hubs and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
• Monitor and optimize Kafka performance, including broker tuning, partitions, and JVM settings
• Implement and maintain security and compliance for Kafka clusters
• Automate infrastructure deployments using Terraform
• Support troubleshooting of distributed streaming issues such as consumer lag, rebalancing, and system performance
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies for Kafka environments
