Location: Menands, NY

Duration: 30 Months

Job Description:

We are looking for a PMP Certified Healthcare Project Manager to join our team in Menands, NY, for a 30-month project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing software development projects within the healthcare industry, with a strong focus on the software development lifecycle, business process re-engineering, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 84 months of experience as a Software Manager working on software enhancement or new application development projects, coordinating with users, business analysts, and developers.
  • 84 months of experience analyzing complex business rules, workflow processes, and re-engineering business processes.
  • 84 months of experience leading meetings and overseeing sessions with business analysts and developers to ensure the correct functional requirements, non-functional requirements, and security requirements are documented.
  • 84 months of experience managing the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design and development, integration, deployment, decommissioning, and documentation of complex systems and reports.
  • 84 months of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation using Visio.
  • 84 months of experience working with HL7 messages , including ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) and VXU (Vaccination Update) messages.
  • 84 months of experience ensuring compliance with HIPAA Guidelines , including data encryption and security protocols.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) — Required.
  • 7 years of experience in the Healthcare domain .
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects within healthcare IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage software projects for the healthcare sector, ensuring that all stages of the software development lifecycle are followed.
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to define and document clear project requirements, including functional, non-functional, and security requirements.
  • Oversee the analysis and re-engineering of complex business processes to ensure software applications meet business needs and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Create and maintain detailed project documentation, using tools like Visio, to represent processes, workflows, and technical requirements.
  • Ensure the software development team follows HIPAA compliance and implements data encryption and security measures throughout the project.
  • Ensure project timelines and milestones are met, and manage the resolution of any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful projects on time and within budget.
