Overview
Surgical Technologist—Surgical Tech specialty, travel assignment in Vail, Colorado. Start date 05/11/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range $1,638–$1,720 per week with guaranteed hours of 32. Shift: 3x12 rotating. This assignment takes place in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Assist during surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile field and providing instrumentation as needed to the surgical team.
- Maintain and check instruments and supplies for proper packaging, moisture, seal, packaging integrity, sterile indicators, and expiration dates.
- Ensure the operating room environment is safe; verify that equipment functions properly and the procedure is conducted with patient safety as a priority.
- Monitor the sterile field for events that may contaminate or interfere with the field, and initiate corrective action under supervision.
- Demonstrate competence in Tier 1 surgical cases; apply sterile and aseptic technique and knowledge of anatomy, procedures, and tools.
- Participate in Time Out processes, including briefings and debriefings; assist with patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation.
- Maintain professional behavior and stay current with new technologies and procedures, including instrumentation and equipment.
- Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization; adhere to Just Culture principles when issues arise.

Requirements
- Licensed as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado (active) required.
- Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) with working computer skills to complete online learning and forms within 90 days.
- Ability to work in a perioperative setting, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in a rotating 3x12 shift schedule.
